Tours bookable for individuals, groups, or events: schedule directly with the Tour Provider.

Middleton Railway

Middleton Railway welcomes enquiries from the travel trade and special interest groups.

For a typical tour party we can offer the following facilities as standard:

  • A train ride, behind either a steam locomotive or a diesel locomotive

  • A visit to the railway’s museum

  • A reserved coach on the train for your party

  • Free parking for a bus or coach

  • Discounted fares for a party of 10 or more

  • Hospitality for the organiser or coach driver

  • Shop and cafe open for the purchase of light refreshments

We can also arrange for a buffet for the party at an additional cost.

Subject to the availability of volunteers, we may, by prior arrangement, be able to offer the following:

  • A guided tour of the railway’s museum

  • A talk on the history of the Middleton railway

  • A guided tour of the railway’s workshops.
